Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) has announced that Jeff Phillips will join as the Chief Finance and Risk Officer in March 2026.
Jeff brings more than 30-years’ experience from a range of financial services, funds management and professional services organisations. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Bennelong Funds Management for over 13 years, and prior to that, Aviva Investors for eight years. He has also held various roles at Brand Finance, Morgan Stanley and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) from Monash University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Jeff is looking forward to starting the role shortly.
‘For many years, I have watched the great work at VFMC and I am excited to join an organisation that focuses on delivering strong long-term returns for its clients and the state of Victoria, supported by a collaborative culture.’ Jeff said.
VFMC Chief Executive Officer, Kate Galvin, welcomed Jeff to the organisation.
‘We are delighted to have Jeff join the VFMC team in this executive role leading the key enterprise-wide functions of Finance, Fund Accounting, Tax, Risk and Compliance and Legal.’
Jeff’s appointment follows Paul Shanley’s resignation from this position late last year, after three years at VFMC, as he has chosen to step away from full-time executive roles.
