VFMC are excited to announce the appointment of Julie O’Neill from 27 May to the Investments team in the new role of Head of Client Portfolio Design, reporting to Russell Clarke, Chief Investment Officer. This new role is designed to enable a dedicated focus on Clients within the Investment Team, including leading the overall portfolio design process of VFMC’s client portfolios. Julie will work in close collaboration with the Portfolio Management Group led by Gary Gabriel and VFMC’s Client Services team.
Julie comes to VFMC from the Insurance Commission of Western Australia, where she been since 2002 in various senior roles, more specifically as Chief Investment Officer since 2007. Julie has extensive investment management experience, including multi-asset portfolios, asset consulting and directly managing money in multiple asset sectors. She has extensive Government and Insurance sector experience, which is particularly relevant for VFMC and its Clients. Julie commenced her career as an Economist of the Reserve Bank of Australia and her qualifications include an Executive Masters of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts (Economics) with Honors. Julie is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
