The Chairman of Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC), James MacKenzie, announces the departure of Elana Rubin from the Board of VFMC (effective 24 April 2023). Elana has been appointed as a member of the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia commencing in September 2023.
“The Board of VFMC wishes to express its deep appreciation to Elana for her considerable contribution to the organisation as a Board Director for over eight years. Since joining the Board in 2015, Elana has played a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of VFMC,” said Mr MacKenzie.
“Throughout her tenure, Elana has demonstrated thoughtfulness, insight, and strong commitment to our organisation’s values, purpose and strategies. Elana’s contributions to the Board, as well as involvement in the People Committee, have been invaluable in guiding VFMC towards achieving our objectives and delivering exceptional results for our clients.”

Elana is presently Chair of Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) and the Australian Business Growth Fund, and holds directorships at Slater and Gordon Lawyers, Telstra, Dexus and several unlisted organisations in the infrastructure sector. Elana is a Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and member of Chief Executive Women, demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.
