The Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) has announced the appointment of former Chief Executive Officer, Ms Lisa Gray to the Board of VFMC effective 1 January 2022. 

In her almost six-year tenure as CEO, Ms Gray successfully led VFMC through an exciting period of evolutionary transformation, including overseeing a significant uplift in digital and technology, data and analytics and people and leadership. Ms Gray retired from executive life in September 2021, in order to extend her business and leadership contribution via her directorship and advisory interests. 

Ms Gray’s appointment to the VFMC Board was warmly welcomed by Chairman, Mr James MacKenzie. 

“Having worked closely with Ms Gray during her time as CEO of VFMC, I have firsthand knowledge of the valuable skills, insights and commitment she will bring to the Board,” Mr MacKenzie said. 

“Ms Gray’s breadth of leadership experience across the private and public sector, especially in financial services, will be integral to helping guide the long-term strategy of VFMC and supporting the future prosperity of the state of Victoria.” 

Prior to her appointment as VFMC CEO in February 2016 to September 2021, Ms Gray held executive and senior leadership positions with Invest Victoria, National Australia Bank, MLC Limited, Plum Financial Services and AXA. She was appointed Non Executive Director of ING Australia in September 2020. 

Ms Gray’s appointment to the Board of VFMC is confirmed by Victorian Treasurer, Tim Pallas MP and extends from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2024.
