The Chairman of Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC), Mr James MacKenzie, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Andrew Nicolaou to the Board of VFMC (effective 15 September 2020).

“This appointment further deepens the risk management and financial governance expertise and experience on the VFMC Board. In particular, Mr Nicolaou brings expertise in risk management, assurance and financial services regulation,” said Mr MacKenzie.

Mr Nicolaou is a former partner at PWC with a 24 year career in various roles including leading PwC’s government practice in Victoria. He specialised in the financial institutions of government with senior roles covering the Victorian Treasury portfolio. This work
included the development and implementation of the Financial Management compliance, risk management and prudential assurance regimes.

Mr Nicolaou chairs the Audit Committees at the Department of Transport, Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water, and Victorian Parliament. Mr Nicolaou is also a member of the Audit Committee for Education in Victoria and has served on the Audit Committee of State
Trustees.

VFMC is responsible for the investment of over $65 billion for Victorian public authorities. Clients include the Emergency Services and State Super, WorkSafe Victoria, Transport Accident Commission, and the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority.
