About VFMC

Legislation

VFMC was established under the Victorian Funds Management Act 1994 to provide investment and funds management services to Victorian public authorities. Our Minister is the Treasurer of Victoria, John Lenders MP. VFMC reports to the Minister through the Department of Treasury and Finance.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to provide a centre of excellence for the management of State public sector assets on behalf our clients and the people of Victoria.

Our Mission Statement

Our Mission Statement is to

• meet individual client investment objectives based on their liability profiles,
• maximize long term returns on State assets with a risk profile in line with stakeholder stated risk tolerances, and
• maximize the advantages of scale and the long term nature of the state’s balance sheets
